Long time no blog

Well, it's been some time since I was last here. Lots to tell:

I drove 225 miles on December 18th to San Angelo TX for the Texas Poker League tournament. I got up at 4 am and took off for the day with an overnight bag just in case I won I was not going to drive back to Austin.
I got there a little early (about 2 hours to be exact) and the only place that was open on that Sunday morning was Tractor Supply! It's not everyday that you see a woman with a Prada purse and Feragamo shoes shopping in there! Of course, the people in there didn't know the difference. All they knew is that it didn't say Wrangler on it!

So - the turnout was phenomenal and there were at least 200 people. The first hour went well - very few playable hands, then came the 2nd hour. Good hands and bad beats. I ended up going out about the last hand of the 2nd hour. I was dealt KK and went up against another woman that had about 3 times my chipstack, she had A4 off, and of course got an A on the river! So I quickly left and drove back home.

I might play in the league next season - just don't know yet.
