The old "take a break myth" - is mythbuster-proof

So - I've been kinda rare around the tables lately - except for the occasional MTT where I've been running pretty good. Didn't play any poker at all for 4 days, bacause of remodeling my new place and then eventually moving into it.

Anyway - almost a week of no SNG:s - so I sat down yesterday to 2-table for an hour. Won both. Thank you break, won't see you soon - but take care.

Black Friday madness! And then some...

Well - it has taken me 3 days to recover from the madness and complete chaos of Black Friday. One of the local Walmarts even had to call in the police because some fools were fighting over a $397 POS laptop! I made it home by 9am with the back of my minivan overflowing with toys and games and of course clothing. Now I am all for getting a good deal and shopping around for bargains but to fight over a metal box is just absurd. So since I'm just about finished with my Christmas shopping I can get back to playing poker.

I played in my league game last night and I won! I am getting much more confident at the live games. Last night after winning I was congratulated by a woman in the bar, she told me that she was secretly rooting for me even though her husband was playing! Guess what, I took him out!
Had some bad beats like I had a straight on the turn and a short stacker went all in and ended up with a boat on the river. Oh how frustrating when that 3% chance of the other player winning the hand comes popping up on the river!

I still don't think that the majority of the men I'm playing against believe that I have a better game than they do. Maybe I don't, but I seem to outlast the same people every game - so from now on I'm walking in there and declaring - "Fellas - grab a notebook because you are about to be schooled!"

Just kidding - and thanks SKD
