The best day of all!

Well, as most of you know- today is Black Friday, the shopaholics most treasured day of the year. All the best sales and discounts are put on this day after (American) Thanksgiving.

I picked up my newspaper yesterday and went straight past the news and weather to the sale ads. I even bought another paper to make sure that my kids didnt destroy both sets of ads. Sometimes you need to take a set to make sure that you can price match items if needed.

So I have made my game plan and am ready to hit the road here in about 45 minutes. I'll update you all on my progress later today.

3rd week of poker tourney

Well, last night was my 3rd week of the poker league here in Austin Texas. On December 18th is the big tourney in San Angelo, TX. So I think at this point I will be going :) It was nice playing against different people and learning how to detect play styles early on in a game. I got pushed out with pocket 9's to J/10 off. Wouldn't you know it that the flop was 10-J- 10 , so unless the turn and river were 9's I was outta luck. I figured I had a shot - four of a kind 9's was very good to me a couple years ago at a casino in Louisiana when I was playing Carribbean Stud. (My $6 bet won me $900!) So as you might have figured I didn't get the 4 of a kind and was out in 4th place.

But anyway, these games have been going until close to midnight - ugh! It's nice to get out but it's way past my old lady bedtime.

I'll be out tonight way past my bedtime as I am trekking up to the local WalMart to stand in line for the XBox 360 - Hope I get at least one *fingers crossed* My kids would be so shocked (not really, as they've seen me looking at them) and they are so spoiled now that I think they are just expecting to get one - along with an the iPod nanos that all 3 of my teenagers have asked for- not to mention the cell phone and Prada purse that my 11 yr old wants. I guess she figured that once I got my Prada last month that she would be able to get one. Besides, I think they know that Santa's feeling a little generous this year.

Well, I better go drink a couple gallons of coffee or Jolt Cola to keep my tired arse awake long enough to fight traffic at WallyWorld.
